Terms
Last updated: 23 May 2026. Built In Ireland is operated by Raven Design (Leitrim, Ireland). These terms apply to anyone using the site, joining a Forge cohort, or hiring through us.
Built In Ireland is a brand operated by Raven Design (Leitrim, Ireland). The Forge is the cooperative-project programme that produces cohort references. We are not a recruitment agency, an educational institution, a regulated training body, or a guarantor of employment outcomes.
If you complete a Forge cohort and meet the published criteria (4 shipped tickets, 4 weeks of presence, mentor sign-off — see References explained), we will issue you a signed PDF reference letter and publish your reference at a public verifiable URL. The reference cannot be edited after issue; if material errors are found, we will publish a correction notice.
We will never charge members a fee. The Forge is and remains free.
We will not pass your CV, contact details, or shipped work to an employer without your explicit consent.
We do not promise a job offer at the end of a cohort. Hiring decisions belong to employers, not to us. What we promise is real work, real review, and a real reference.
We do not promise infinite cohort capacity. We may close cohorts, change projects, or pause intake to maintain quality.
We do not promise immediate mentor availability. The standard rhythm is one weekly check-in plus async; outside that you may need to wait.
If you post a role, we will respond within 48 hours with either matched candidates (if available) or an honest "not right now". Where we make an introduction, the candidate has met the Forge criteria — you can verify their reference at builtinireland.ie/references/<name>/.
Posting a role is free. We charge a success fee only when a hire happens (8% of the candidate's first-year base salary; first five hires through Built In Ireland are free during launch). Invoice issued on the candidate's start date, payable within 30 days. No retainers, no exclusivity, no per-seat fees.
We do not warrant any candidate's performance, fit, or longevity in your role. The reference reflects what they did in the cohort under our supervision; we cannot speak to what they'll do in your environment.
We do not run formal background checks, right-to-work checks, or references-of-references. That's your hiring process.
Members and employers using Built In Ireland are expected to behave with basic decency. Harassment, discrimination, dishonesty, or attempts to misrepresent a reference are grounds for immediate removal and, for members, withdrawal of any reference earned.
Work shipped during a Forge cohort to one of Kali's portfolio sites becomes part of that site under its own terms (typically MIT-licensed or proprietary depending on the project — your mentor will confirm at cohort start). You retain credit and the right to point at it. For community-group projects, IP transfers to the community group on completion.
Site content (excluding member-shipped work) © 2026 Raven Design. References are published as public records and may be quoted.
Built In Ireland is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by Irish law, our total liability to any user is limited to fees paid in the prior 12 months (which for members is zero, and for employers is the most recent success fee).
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ireland.
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be announced in the site footer for 30 days. Continued use after a material change constitutes acceptance.
